Is Pickathon THE Indie Music Festival of the Summer?
June 18th, 2012I used to go to the Sasquatch music festival every summer in the Gorge, but right here in Portland’s backyard, Pickathon keeps getting better and better. This year’s lineup looks incredible (Neko Case, Blitzen Trapper, Dr. Dog, Vieux Farka Touré, Typhoon, the Cave Singers, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, and dozens more), and tickets for the weekend are selling out. Right now only full weekend passes are on sale, but word is that some single-day tickets will go online in July.

Just a note: Vieux Farka Touré is unfortunately unable to play Pickathon. Another legendary African guitarist, Bombino, will play in his place.
